A key moment in the American story was the passage of the “Lee Resolution” by the Continental Congress on July 2, 1776. It set the stage for the Declaration of Independence two days later.
“Resolved, That these United Colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent States, that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British Crown…”
"Resolve” implies decisiveness and firmness. It connotes power.
In our district, we are resolved to honor this legacy by ensuring our students develop the fundamental capacity for citizenship through our Vision for Learning.
Just as the Founders established a framework for a free nation, we are building three strong learning organizations rooted in excellence and equitable resourcing. This transition is an act of stewardship for our families and communities.

Support Student Learning
Our primary commitment remains the implementation of our Vision for Learning. Even during organizational change, student growth cannot pause.
We are resolved to ensure every student acquires essential knowledge and fundamental capacities of Collaboration, Communication, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Character, and Citizenship. By prioritizing these capacities, we prepare students not just for graduation, but to participate in the ongoing founding of our great Nation as engaged, capable citizens.
Support the Creation of Three Strong Learning Organizations
We are not merely dividing; we are building. Our pursuit of excellence dictates that we maintain high professional capacity across all three future districts. By functioning as Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and doubling down on our Coherence Map, we are establishing a blueprint for three distinct, high-powered organizations.
We are resolved to continue to refine our culture of excellence, ensuring that the high standards our community expects are embedded in the DNA of each new district.
Provide Equitable Resourcing for Three New Districts
True stewardship requires a deliberative and transparent approach to resources. Our priority ensures that we plan for the long term, following a budget process that provides each of the three new districts with the tools necessary for success.
We are resolved to be good stewards of taxpayers’ trust as we keep the promise to our students that their zip code will not define the quality of their education.
Support Current Team Members, Families, and Communities
We recognize that change can bring uncertainty. For our dedicated staff, we are focused on creating conditions for well-being and providing clarity as we move forward.
