It's been a busy Friday full of fun at Highland. The students participating in Botball put on a showcase exhibiting all of their skills, the PTA hosted the 1/2 way ice cream parties for the Battle of the Books students and the Mountain Man came to visit 4th grade. What a way to kick off the weekend :)

The Bookfair is coming next week. To make shopping easier for your student, we encourage the use of eWallets. Check your email for instructions on how to setup an eWallet for your child.
The stand for kind team wants to make sure that every student knows just how Amazing they are.

Parent/Teacher conferences will be held February 4th and 5th. Teachers have created their schedules in Skyward so you can select a time that works best for your schedule. Follow the instructions in your email to select a conference time. If you have questions or need help, we are happy to help you - just call the office.

We're getting excited for the 100th day of school and gearing up for a fun dress up day. To celebrate 100 days of school we are inviting students and staff to dress as if they are 100 years old. We love this annual tradition of getting to pull out our best granny and grandpa attire. We hope you'll join us in the fun.

We appreciate your patience and help this morning with our modified drop-off area. The construction crews have been hard at work to repair the water line break. They still have a section coned off where additional work needs to be done. Please be alert, aware and extra cautious when picking up students this afternoon. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe.
Pleasant Grove Recreation invites students to participate in the monthly Adaptive Kids Nights at the PG Rec Center. See the flyer for info and registration.
Tomorrow (Tuesday, January 13th) there will be a construction crew at Highland to repair a burst water line. This will necessitate some changes to our morning drop-off. The drop-off area in the parking lot will be reduced drastically to allow for construction vehicles. We encourage you to utilize the bus zone drop-off area (be courteous to the buses and others). Because it is a small area for drop-off please be aware that you will not be able to park or wait, it will be a stop, drop, and keep on rolling situation.
Should this repair go into the afternoon we will send out alternate instructions for pick-up, though most likely those students who normally wait near the dumpsters will need to wait near the flag pole.
